Central Arizona Shelter Services
Includes:
- Emergency Shelter for Single Adults - Located on the
Human Services Campus in downtown Phoenix, CASS provides beds, hygiene
facilities and supplies in a safe and secure environment for 415
homeless individuals each night. CASS also operates an overflow shelter
facility near the Human Services Campus that provides nightly shelter
for 250-300 homeless adult men.
- Emergency Shelter for Families - CASS provides 30
furnished apartment units for homeless families at the Vista Colina
Emergency Family Shelter. In addition to apartments, Vista Colina
provides laundry facilities, hygiene supplies, a food bank and a
clothing bank.
- Case Management - A case manager works with the
individual or family to develop a case plan and goals to address the
specific needs of the client including securing income (employment or
benefits if eligible), substance abuse or behavioral health treatment,
and housing.
- CASS Employment Services - CASS provides a continuum
of employment services to assist clients in securing and maintaining
permanent employment. Clients gain assistance with job search skills and
have access to resources such as computers, job notices, and a clothing
bank. Employment Services places clients in permanent and
temp-to-permanent employment.
- Child Development Program - At the Vista Colina
Emergency Family Shelter, CASS provides an accredited developmental
childcare program for preschool aged children living at the shelter. The
shelter also offers an after school activities program for older, school
aged, children and parenting classes to promote positive family
environments.
- CASS Dental Clinic - CASS provides professional,
comprehensive dental services to homeless men, women and children.
Services are provided by volunteer dentists and hygienists in a state of
the art 8- chair dental facility located on the Human Services Campus.
